Vali and I are wondering if there's any interest in a Chicago area media whore/slash fan types of gatherings in the area. If so, we want to start one.

This is probably not the best place in the world to advertise, but gotta put the feelers out somewhere.

I would be around the east coast most probably for biz in May (for BEA and to see colleagues and NY clients) so it would be just as easy to fly home via Chicago if that were the turn of events. And ya know, I've sorta been very interested in attending a slash con too......

I'm in the midst of obsessing and when I read youupost I ony saw CON (not slash con). Yes, I would tend a slash con too ... for the moment, jsut pat my on the head and ignore the fact that I've spazzed slightly in the last 15 minutes.....

Ah, that's all right-- it's been ages since i could program the dying vcr, but when i screwed it up i'd be a very cranky soul indeed, so believe me it's okay.

I know there are slash cons in the area-- in fact Zebracon was just here a couple of weeks ago way north of Chicago-- but i'm sure there will be more. If you're going to be in the area, drop me a line!

Sorry about not getting back to you for so long-- i can't resolve pages after a whopping five whole minutes on the internet, so i have to do everything in fits and starts.

The short answer is hell yeah! Come anytime you want, and i'm about a million miles from cool, so that's a non-issue. Anytime you're in the area, look me and Vali up and we'll do fun stuff in a Smallville-free environment. ;-D
