Casey likes to sit in the sunroom even when it's blistering cold outside because, you know-- SUN! The only time you can see a cat bake and shiver at the same time.
We used to have a cat who would yowl to go outside when it was below freezing, and you'd open the door thinking he'd turn right around and come back in when he realized how cold it was, but no. He'd sit huddled at the edge of the back porch, shivering, until you dragged him back in bodily. Cats are silly.
When you see them soaking up the sun, "baking" is the best way to describe the process. Casey'll stay in the sunroom so long she'll sunburn the inside of her ears. I've had to apply lotions.
