I sent out a link to a couple of QaF stories that i really loved to another list this weekend, and i got someone asking me whether the stories were QaF US or QaF UK, because she's absolutely in love with QaF US and asked for links to QaF archives. And because i don't want to say it on the list because it's too much work and i'm a coward, it goes here in the journal:

Let's see, a simple click on the link that i sent to the list would've told you whether it was QaF UK or QaF UGH. That's why i sent the link, so you wouldn't have to do the work. A search on metacrawler.com would've taken care of finding the archives.

I shouldn't be so hard on the last part of the question, though. I took the lazy way out and begged Vali for QaF archives too. Come to think of it, i shouldn't be too hard on the first part because i haven't seen QaF US yet, and i shouldn't make judgements on stuff i haven't seen yet. But i know i'll be prejudiced against the US version forever; i love the UK version too much.

To all QaF US lovers, i say this: see the real version, *please*.

Dat's all.

...at this stage in the game, we *are* going to be able to tell him to his face whether we need him when he's 64. Paul McCartney, that is. And not that there's anything wrong with getting old, it's just the man. I waver with him-- I love his music, but i don't think anyone should ever ask his opinions on stuff, because it's just *painful* sometimes.

Nevertheless, i did listen to the whole hour on Fresh Aire today, mostly because when he read his poetry from "Blackbird Singing," i was forcibly reminded of Dana Carvey from SNL doing Jimmy Stewart reading "Funny Little Pooch."

Remember?

"Yeah...I wrote that one in Tijuana after a three day drinking binge after i woke up in my own *siiiick*...yeah..."

Poor bastard. At the very least i wish i could've put in a tape to record for Giu so she could listen to him talk about his poems to John Lennon. There was lots of stuff that would've made her heart proud.

oops, off to class. and hey, my prof actually wrote comments in one of my journals that i have to turn in, and it was nice stuff, too. it's nice-- makes me feel that i'm not typing in a vacuum most of the time.
