My anger at Tripod wasn't directed at people who have fanfic on their sites. It was directed at Tripod's deletion of pages that were in violation of ToS, people that had original fic, people who had the temerity to say being queer is ok, etc. If people really truly think that Tripod made an innocent mistake and that it was just a technical glitch, then i'm going to hand my naive crown to the new winner.
I'm not a betting woman, but what are the chances that those sites that have parent's pictures of their beloved bratling will be back up in a few days while the people who had their original fic and assorted weirdness will be left flapping?
That's Tripod's ToS, the buttkissers will say. yes, but do they *never* question how far reaching a ToS should be allowed to go?
