No word from Sam yet. He no doubt thinks i'm stupid for worrying about him. I'm going to bop him on the nose too when i hear from him. He may be bigger, but i'm older and i'm meaner, so nyeahhhh...
Went down to Walter Reed for my dr's appt. Was relieved to know i still had an appt. The traffic getting into the post was such a nightmare (100% ID checks and whatnot) that i whipped onto a side street and parked there. Fwiw, the roads around DC (95, 495) actually aren't bad. it's just post traffic. don't know what it's like in the city proper, though. Getting on post is nutty- you have to get your ID checked and your trunk searched, but the long lines i'd been hearing about weren't there.
Now i have to go watch my unit try and come up with 24 hr guard rotations. This is going to be amusing. I can already hear Cpt Pyle's gears grinding.
