viedmaLast night i tried to update my journal and for some reason it would not go through. no prob, i copied and pasted and waited till morning. in a way it's a great opportunity to look at what you wrote and take out anything particularly assholerific. not that there was anything like that, but i wrote some stuff about driving home and my musical choices and it just did not make sense. trust me, you're missing nothing.
Last night in class i asked a question and i had the weird sensation that my voice was coming from somewhere outside of my mouth. it was odd, like listening to yourself on the answering machine. i'm talking and trying to retain the thread in my brain while going oh my *god*, do i sound like that all the time? i don't think anyone really cares for the sound of their own voice, no matter how much they like to talk.
the class was very interesting, a lot moreso than the articles we were given to read last week. we got into groups and did 'what would *you* do, if this were to happen to *you*?' types of sitches, like if an irate parent came to the reference desk and complained about the dude looking at Playboy's webpage, things like that. it's stuff that i'd actually need when i get out there and start working myself. it was neat.
oh, and we decided in a fit of silliness that Kevin Bacon is the patron saint of library policy. i'm too tired to explain it, and even if i did no one would think it funny, but there you go.
watched a little tv, chatted with Vali a bit, then conked out. woke up to an almighty loudass thunderstorm outside the window. it sounded really cool! but i'm not looking forward to the small lake inside my car this morning. i *know* it penetrated the duct taped window if it was as loud as my sleepy brain thought it was.
