(no subject)

Vali read it in the Chicago Tribune this morning, and i've seen it in the NYT, and it still seems like something the Onion would've written: Pentagon Abandons Plan for Futures Market on Terror. Get the Bush admin to spend $8 million on a project where you get to speculate (anonymously) on which terrorist event, assassination, etc. comes down the pipeline and win a prize. If i was a terrorist, one could make a pretty penny betting on myself. Which might have been what those jokers were thinking when they started this website. Oh well. We would've spent that 8 mil on something wacky like Head Start anyway.

i still think it might be a joke, but i'm linking it for myself just in case. i found it, lost it, and found it again and am not going to lose it.

it's been a crazy busy day. i haven't taken lunch yet. maybe i will someday.
