May. 25th, 2003 08:26 pmi slept till forever this morning and finished Parasite Pig by William Sleator. The sequel to Interstellar Pig, which was most righteous. I thought this one was equally fun, although I did feel bad for Albamee the Crab, even though I wasn't supposed to. And the poor dinosaur! Thrills, twists, turns, lessons in control and willpower and the power of hormones...Sleator's found his gravy train.
I started The Nine Emotional Lives of Cats, which I'm totally adoring. I love this guy-- watch his 5 cats for a year and write a book about animal behavior. I wish i had his gig! The book is wonderful, very warm and funny. I can't take anything mean, snarky or ever so ironic these days.
I didn't feel like doing anything else, so i took these pictures instead. For some reason the photo that started this latest round of picture taking won't load for love or money. 20 tries, and i have to admit that photoisland is stronger and smarter than I. i HATE admitting defeat.
Warning: if the thought of adorable cats being adorable makes your coal black heart wither and die, keep walking.
