The scary thing is, it's giving me ideas. Of course i always say that and a year later nothing is written-- I'm the queen of empty promises-- but you never know.

It is, it's so nice and cool and non-soupy, that you want to sing Trey Parker lyrics and get in your car and just go driving.

I wish i could go driving today, as a matter of fact. Doesn't help to think that this time last year i was on the road to see Beth, Vali, Rachel, and Marti. Driving on a day like today would be bliss.

I'm itching to go. I'm ready to go *now*.

Life is good. I'm tired, but happy.

It figures that only an Englishman could sing a song that makes my Yankee heart swell with pride. I downloaded "Philadelphia Freedom" from Audiogalaxy and danced about the room in my bathing suit with my imaginary microphone, mouthing the words and kicking ass.

In my room, I reign SU-PREME!!!

Whew, that was fun. A little fantasy of mine: I've always wanted to be the one onstage that whips everyone into a frenzy. Too bad i can't sing or play anything but fun banging on drums and my zils, but i'd love to get an audience riled up and totally jazzed, dancing and singing like maniacs.

There's probably a fine line between loving this fantasy and a humiliation kink. It's just that if you take all of your nervousness and adrenaline and ride the line just right, just think about how amazing that would be. Not embarrassing, but totally powerful and cool.

Second fun thing: at the pool i saw the cutest little water baby being held by her daddy. He was a good dad, holding her up gently and letting her glide slowly across the water. She was cooing and grinning toothless grins, and when her dad held her up she dipped her head down and started to lap water out of the pool. Watching this chubby little baby taste water and smile was so adorable! It was on the same cuteness scale as two miniature doggies getting into a wrestling match in DuPont Circle.

Thinking about a "true digital getdown" cracked me up all the way home, walking back from the pool. Ahhh, god, Vali, i can't stop giggling!

And I guess this is as good a time as any to say that i have let go of my hatred of NSync slash. Well, it wasn't the slash i hated exactly, or the fans, it's just the group. But i made a couple of comments in LJ that made me feel bad. I've always said that you should love or hate whatever you want, but leave the fans out of it. Recently i've been feeling bad about saying mean stuff about fans when it's the group i don't like. Separate, Mary!

I was going to go all out and do true pentinence, like tell you all really embarrassing Duran Duran stories, but i don't want to go overboard.

Heads-up: Bram "Stroker Ace"'s 'Dracula' is on TNT right now. Watch! Totally fun bad movie experience.

Wow, I just saw Gary Oldman on the set of the Wrapped Around your Finger Video. I will kill him!

Now, whenever i see Gary Oldman in anything, i think about what a psycho Republican he is. But man, what an accent!
