I'm in awe. I'm watching "Trekkies" as i type and i wanted to cringe, crawl, and laugh, and please say ARE YOU CRAZY! Don't DO this shit in front of cameras!

Ok, hold on, i'm not cringing because i'm a fan disser. i mean, look who i am, right? I love fans, even when i want to run screaming. And anyone who tells me that Trekkies need to get a life? all i say is pot, meet fucking kettle. People are just afraid of smart, weird people in large groups, aren't they? Everyone's got a hobby, and this one makes people happy and isn't getting people killed, so i'm cool with them.

Vali has Zippy the Pinhead as her fandom spokesmodel; i have Jan Brady: Fandom, it's a part of me, and I'm a part of it, and there NO ESCAPING that! But it does make me feel pretty special.

Anyway. if you've seen it, i just got done watching the woman who runs the Brent Spiner (Data) fan list and who keeps her super secret memorbilia in a locked box in her closet and looks to the hills of Casa de Brent and gazes wistfully in that direction. oh wow, i just wanted to protect this woman from unloading these fantasies on camera, and i don't know why. maybe because it's my firm belief that Brent is gay? mayhap. or maybe it's because as a diehard RPSer, i don't want people to fall in love with the actors' personas too much. it's a weird thing, and i'm tired, and i can't explain it too well.

and oh man, don't get me started about the raging crush i used to have on Data back in college. wooowheee! and now the crush is on Riker. i know, i know, the *shame*, but i love big burly men who love women with sass.

btw, Beth? Harry Potter's Prison Bitch name is Cum Stain and Ron Weasley's name is Ball Sucker. i think the names should be reversed...

Oh dear god, part two: you devil

I should've waited until after i saw Denise Crosby and Brent Spiner discussing the fans erotic renderings of Tasha Yar and Data sent to them, some of them i've seen at cons, to post. And DeForest Kelley talking about the joint sent to him thanking him for turning her on all these years and wanting to return the favor. And the guy who dressed his sweet lil kitty in a Starfleet t-shirt and com badge. (Vali and Beth: i'm screencapping this for you later.)

So in case you were wondering, those shrieks of laughter coming from the eastern seaboard were from me.

Don't be an idiot like me and wait another five years to see "Trekkies", people. This movie's a hoot!
