Things I liked about Media West

[livejournal.com profile] violetisblue, [livejournal.com profile] la_smartie, [livejournal.com profile] annlarimer and myself in the same room, watching Darkplace, laughing ourselves silly and having a whale of a time. [livejournal.com profile] la_smartie and [livejournal.com profile] annlarimer should totally get married because I said, I don't care if they're halfway across the country from one another.

Watching [livejournal.com profile] annlarimer blow a four-foot Dalek. >.>

[livejournal.com profile] violetisblue going to town and decorating a very funny Doctor Who themed door.

Maggie the Wonder Dog and Chelsie the Torbie Therapy Cat.

Meeting [livejournal.com profile] annlarimer's pals Jenny and Nita. The five of us spent a very pleasant afternoon chatting while I waited to liberate my slippers from Media West Art show hell.

An Australian fan bought a couple of my Flying Spaghetti Monsters. If they survive the journey, something I made will reside on another continent. Groovalicious.

Getting rid of three boxes of stuff from our basement, lickety-split.

Scoring t-shirts from [livejournal.com profile] neadods that were very cute 'n' comfy.

Hobnobs!

[livejournal.com profile] violetisblue's new Jarvis Cocker action figure. He does the splits. O_____o

The bandanas they gave out are made by the same company that makes our cloth napkins. It seems kind of a long way to go to get two more, but why be practical?

Casey Katt loooooooves her new catnip cat pad, omg does she love it. I think she missed us almost as much as we missed her.

And now I am glad to be back home. I think I overextended myself in more ways than one this weekend and am looking forward to nothing but a couple of days of weed pulling and flower planting.

In just a couple of weeks! I can't wait. It's going to be a shorter visit than last time-- I'm coming in on Saturday afternoon and leaving Sunday before noon-- but we can pack a lot of fun in a couple of hours.

I liked the way he thought Gilda was a Hitchcock film because it was in b&w. Aren't fanboys fun?

Oh! I didn't tell you. The room I rescued you from? The lady must've been really pissed off about it as she cut right in front of me in the registration line for next year without a word. (I think she was hoping to fit another 15 or 16 in there.) It's the little things that made me glad I decided not to sign up for MW 2009 after all.

Oh, geez. I'm sorry. I left a message on the room phone from the front desk the following morning, and e-mailed her when I got back, but no response. (Maybe telephony cannot penetrate the League of Extraordinary Olfactories.) I'll e-mail again, because I honestly didn't mean to offend -- they were asleep and tucked in their beds when we popped in. They would have been disturbed, and I couldn't have watched Mythbusters, which would have been a mythfortune. (zing!)

I don't think you have to apologize, as they seemed concerned mainly with packing as many people in the room as humanly possible. I never would've suggested them if I'd known from the start that our room would have two beds.

Mythbusters! I think our Mythbusters slashfic would be the funniest ever.
