Jimmy Carter is better than all of us

Today was my first day of vacation and it was so great! I pulled up all the rotten tomato plants, scattered corn gluten all over everything and mulched mulched mulched. And scattered newspapers and mulched some more, all the while listening to jimmy Carter's Our Endangered Values.
(for me, nonfiction takes less brain power to absorb, therefore I like to listen to it on audio and save the heavy lifting for fiction. fiction takes more imagination and I like to read it slowly. did i mention i miss when we used to have smart presidents?)
and i got rained on. i loved it. I missed the smell of mulch, love it, and worried a little that while I was digging it out of the free municipal pile that it was getting hot and...smoky? Good thing it rained today.
