this Supreme Court thing tickles my nose!

That's the biggest problem with doing cryptoquotes is that it's so much effort for something so pithy. and in this instance, not even true. but i still do them. it's my relaxing thing between classes.
I've been taking the morning off doing cryptoquotes and reading some of Lawrence v. Texas. It's so amazing! I went from wanting to beat Kennedy's hinder to wanting to bake him a pie. Maybe I'll bake him a hinder pie. I can see why Vali went into law, to have the power to do good things. She calls it the Quantum Leap rationale-- putting right what once went wrong. :-)
This is so huge, i'm just in awe from yesterday and letting it sink in. It's also going to be a weird time. I hope i'm wrong, but i suspect that violence towards gays is going to be harsher and more frequent because people who know they're losing will fight even dirtier. Like I said, I hope i'm wrong. This is something, and to think, in my own lifetime I could go from Mom getting fired from her job if they knew about her to the idea that one day I might be able to get married. I mean i am, in my head and heart, but you know, *for real*- just like the Who Wants to Marrysome dork i've never met till yesterday Millionaire guys. ;-)
This really is something else! Like, wow, dude!
And you know i couldn't let this go unnoticed:
"Once justices get on the court, they like to sit well with the theater critics--and in their case, that means the law professors, [editors at] The New York Times," he said. "They follow those people. And to them, this view of sexuality is predominant. It [the ruling] shows the power of the elites."
Is someone saying we're better than everyone else? Well, sure! if you say so. ;-) Plus the whole thing conjures up images of Justice O'Connor at the opera box at the sold out Great Vorelli and Hugo show. She's with a nice lady in a three piece suit and O'Connor is giggling, "This champagne goes *straight* to my head, hee hee!"
p.s. And they put my little "how do I buy a home?" pathfinder into the latest edition of the Friends newspaper, and it looks terrific. Even better, I was able to help a patron using the info this morning. That felt pretty good.
