got back from the library conference and found out through Beth (thank you, Beth!) that Dine underwent emergency surgery and was in the ICU. She's out of ICU now but still in the hospital. If you want to send her a good wishes, Hammerhead will print them and send them along to Dine.

I hope she feels better real soon. Dine is like Jane from Pride and Prejudice- i've never met anyone online that doesn't think Dine is the sweetest and gentlest lady around. however, if i ever *do* meet this mythological creature, i'll know for sure that i've come face to face with the crabbiest SOB on the planet and might box it up and show it around as a sideshow exhibit.
