how deep is your love for the Man Goat?
Feb. 6th, 2003 11:33 pmlately i've been burning CDs and listening to potential songs for my mixtape (sorry to sound so pretentious, but like to put just the right songs on them) and i was listening to the Bee Gees
...and it comes to me on a sulfur breeze...
i know it's supposed to be summer, but i swear it sounds like sulfur. maybe they're singing about Pele. or eggs.
work was worklike. it seems that i work through my lunch or i take abbreviated ones lately. today i was really hungry and wanted to get away from the reference desk, and it seemed like every poor kid that wanted to know about an inventor came up to the desk for big extensive help. so i had to tell some wee soul tough shit kid, i'm hungry and you're going to be abandoned. so if several small children grow up with a deep seated librarian complex i'll know its origin.
the night was made good when our most bad tempered snotnosed library pages called off to attend some psychology seminar. current mood? thank god for small favors. maybe they'll figure out what's wrong with him while they're at it. he'll probably have to ask for sick time while they pull the large arthropod out of his posterior. the best thing is that he did as much work on his shift tonight as he usually does when he's here, but was spared the unmitigated joy of his surly presence.
